Eben Whitney's Gravestone

This is the gravestone of Eben Whitney. Eben Whitney was a sea captain who settled in Glassboro in 1806. He had two sons in Glassboro with Bathsheba Heston, named Thomas and Samuel, who later renamed the Heston-Carpenter Glass Works to Whitney Glass Works, and expanded the business.
